Next Litter: Alfoxton Heavenly Lily has been mated to Skyepark Braveheart pups early April, and shortly after, we can expect Alfoxton Jo Jo Rabbit to be mated, perhaps in mid-2026

If you are looking for a new family member, contact us for a chat about our dog breeding program and upcoming litters. At Alfoxton, our dog breeding program is carefully designed to prioritise temperament, health, and long-term suitability for family life. We specialise in Australian Shepherds, raising each puppy in a structured environment that supports early development, confidence, and socialisation.

Our dog breeding program focuses on producing well-balanced dogs that can thrive in both active homes and structured training environments. From an early age, puppies are exposed to a variety of stimuli, helping them grow into adaptable and resilient companions. This foundation also supports future training, whether for family pets, sport, or working roles.

We take the time to understand your lifestyle, experience, and expectations to ensure the right match. Choosing a puppy is an important decision, and our team is here to guide you through the process with honest advice and ongoing support.

Breeding Philosophy

As our website shows, the diversity of our work with dogs means we do not have the time nor the inclination to show our dogs. This does not mean our dogs are not show quality; it just means our priority is that Aussies make fabulous family pets, and we like them to go to homes where they can reach their potential. We are always proud and happy when families take our breeding in the conformation or competition ring to show them off, but this is just one small part of what makes a great dog.

For us, the true worth of a dog is in what we call the Three T’s: Type, Temperament and Testing (DNA). All of our breeding dogs bring more to the table than a pretty face or points in the ring; they have proved themselves to have the strength and character to deal with the society we live in today. Even when we source dogs from outside our program, we aim to meet them to ensure they also meet the Three T’s.

Meet & Greet Days

Meet &Greet’s are not about selling pups but really a Breed Information Day – a chance to learn and ask questions about different aspects of this breed. We also invite past owners to bring their Aussies so you can meet the breed’s different personalities and discover how Aussies can fit into different family lifestyles. This will help you decide whether this breed is really a good fit for you. These days are usually held on a Saturday Afternoon, they run for 2-3 hours and are generally held 3 times a year. Our next one should be in May/June 2026, and if you’re interested, you can email or call for further information.
